About
Northwest University is one of the first batch of national "world-class discipline construction universities", national "211 Project" construction universities, and universities jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Shaanxi Province. There are 24 schools (departments) and graduate schools, which have the right to grant bachelor's, master's, doctor's and professional degrees, and have post doctoral research mobile stations. In the course of more than 100 years of school running, Northwest University has created 28 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (22 academicians of the CAS Member, 6 academicians of the CAE Member); 4 members of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and 8 academicians of international scientific research institutions.
